El Valle Grita – Lady Gaga World Tour Concert in Singapore 2025, once Rejected in Indonesia
Lady Gaga is set to return to Singapore after 13 years for a grand four-day concert at the National Stadium. The highly anticipated event will take place on May 18, 19, 21, and 24, making Singapore her only stop in Asia for the world tour. According to reports from El Valle Grita, ticket pre-sales will begin on March 18, followed by general sales on March 21. However, official ticket prices are yet to be announced.
Klook, the official travel booking partner, will offer pre-sale ticket access starting March 19. Additionally, Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group will provide another pre-sale opportunity on March 20. Event organizers from Kallang Alive Sport Management (KASM) estimate that over 200,000 fans from Singapore and beyond will attend this spectacular event.

As the return of the “Mother Monster” nears, fans and businesses are preparing for an unforgettable experience. Klook has introduced exclusive packages starting at $589, including two concert tickets and a stay at a four or five-star hotel for one or two nights. Singapore Airlines is also offering KrisFlyer reward programs that allow members to access priority tickets from categories 1 to 9 and redeem miles for seats in categories 1 to 6.
Beyond official concert partners, several hotels, including Pullman Singapore Hill Street, have begun advertising exclusive accommodation packages for concert-goers. This event is expected to be one of Singapore’s largest concerts in 2025, following Taylor Swift’s exclusive Southeast Asian performance in March 2024.
This upcoming concert will mark Lady Gaga’s third major performance in Singapore. Her first appearance was at Fort Canning Park in 2009, followed by three nights at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in 2012 as part of her Born This Way Ball tour. She has also held exclusive performances for Singtel at Clarke Quay in 2009 and Marina Bay Sands in 2011.
While Lady Gaga’s Singapore shows have been met with enthusiasm, her planned concert in Jakarta in 2012 faced significant opposition. Her Born This Way Ball tour was initially scheduled for June 3, 2012, at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium. However, various organizations, including the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), and Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia, protested against the event. Concerns about her provocative performances and support for LGBTQ+ rights led to the cancellation of the show. Elvallegrita.com reported that tickets were refunded due to safety concerns.
Indonesia was not the only country to oppose Lady Gaga’s performances. Malaysia censored her song “Born This Way” in 2011 for its LGBTQ+ themes. China’s Ministry of Culture banned multiple tracks, including “Judas” and “Bloody Mary,” due to their perceived vulgarity. In the Philippines, Christian youth groups protested her concert, claiming her music disrespected religion. Similarly, South Korean Christian groups opposed her shows, alleging they promoted controversial themes. Lebanon also banned the Born This Way album for its perceived religious insensitivity.

Lady Gaga recently released her seventh studio album, Mayhem, on March 7, 2025. The album features the hit singles Disease and Abracadabra, along with Die With A Smile, a Grammy-winning duet with Bruno Mars. The track became the 10th most-streamed song on Spotify in 2024.
In an interview with Apple Music 1, Lady Gaga described Mayhem as an album heavily influenced by electro-grunge. She stated, “Some tracks lean into industrial sounds, while others bring back early 2000s nostalgia. This album represents all my Gothic dreams, my darkest fantasies coming to life in one chaotic masterpiece.”
With this new era of music, Lady Gaga’s 2025 world tour promises a fresh and exhilarating experience for fans. Singapore is honored to host the only Asian leg of her tour, solidifying its status as a top destination for global music events. El Valle Grita highlights that Singapore continues to attract world-class artists, making it a must-visit for music enthusiasts worldwide.
Lady Gaga’s upcoming concert in Singapore is more than just a musical event—it’s a cultural phenomenon. Fans from all over the world are eagerly awaiting her return, and with her history of electrifying performances, the Mayhem tour is bound to be legendary.
